Accountant

UNITED HUMAN RESOURCES LTD in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accountant to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

About The Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and qualitative service to a portfolio of assigned clients. You will work with Maltese Accounting and Tax legislation, as well as in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing client's accounts leading up to management accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Prepare and Submit VAT Returns
• Prepare and Submit Tax Returns
• Prepare and Submit Payroll Reports
• Follow internal controls and procedures
• Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions where necessary
• Liaise with external auditors
• Assist the Accounts and Finance Team.

About You
Ideally, you are meeting the following criteria:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting
• Qualified accountant
• Good knowledge and experience in Malta VAT and Tax Law
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to work with deadlines
• Good personal and professional organizational skills
• Ability to work within a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work
• Previous experience working with Shireburn Indigo will be considered and asset
• Fluency in English.
