Accountant

Job Description
Valletta Legal Limited in Malta is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate shall be responsible to perform the roles detailed hereunder. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The selected candidate should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget his or her resources in order to meet the assigned duties. 
 
Job Role: 
The selected candidate shall be assisted by an accounts assistant, the latter being capable to assist with data inputting, reconciliations, invoicing, debt collection, and other responsibilities that may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

• General book-keeping for all group entities, including fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals
• VAT reporting
• Payroll
• Liaising with auditors
• Liaising with banks
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts receivable, credit control, and customer queries
• Assist with all corporate banking requirements
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Book-keeping for external clients
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Other ancillary duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Academic qualifications sufficient to perform the above duties in a fully competent manner
• Proficiency in Sage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to harness financial data to prepare reports
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills.
